Product Review: Dymo LabelManager 260P – The Dynamo of Labelmaking for the Professional!
Written by Lisa Montanaro | September 20, 2010

I was recently asked by Get Buttoned Up to review The DYMO® LabelManager® 260P. This label maker eliminates the inconvenience of AA batteries as you can charge it up and go! The sleek new design is perfect for any office or workspace. And it’s packed with new features – inspired by consumers– that help you get the results you want with more ease and convenience.

Pros: It is very compact, easy to hold and feels good in the hand. It doesn’t need 6 AA batteries like my existing label maker. The Dynamo 260P takes a lithium battery, which is long lasting, or AA batteries. It is very high-tech in design, so it will appeal to a busy professional that wants to look organized, as well as stay organized. And it easily fits in a briefcase, pocketbook or work bag, so is extremely portable. The labels are crisp and easy to read.

Cons: For me, the keyboard is not as user friendly as I’d like, as I am used to a QWERTY keyboard, and the Dymo 260P comes with an alpha keyboard. For those that like an alpha keyboard, this will not be a disadvantage. The average office or professional using it will probably not find this to be a major flaw.

I was nervous to try this new label maker as I have been a dedicated user of my Brother P Touch Home and Hobby Label Maker for 8 years! However I am thrilled to be able to add this great product to my label maker repertoire and look forward to using it with my office/professional clients as it is a better match for them.

Meet the Author

Helping others be the best versions of themselves gets me jazzed!

I’ve worn many hats in my lifetime—often at the same time—while enjoying fulfilling careers. I’ve been a performer, teacher, sign language instructor, lawyer, career counselor, law professor, coach, consultant, mediator, entrepreneur, speaker, trainer, writer, and author.

I’m an eternal optimist and life-long learner, constantly researching ways to improve personal and professional effectiveness. And it brings me great joy to then pass on the results of that persistent curiosity to my clients and audiences.

Of all the career hats I’ve been privileged to wear, my favorite is owner of this business since 2002. Why? Because it provides me the opportunity to work with wonderful organizational and individual clients. On any given day, I get to connect deeply with audiences, work with dedicated teams, improve workplaces, watch clients have a-ha moments, and know I’ve made a difference in their lives and careers. And that is very satisfying.
